This is a mousepad featuring a render of Myst island. Unlike most mousepads, this design is printed on a plastic top rather than a cloth top, giving it much better print quality but making it inflexible and lacking the softness of most mousepads.

This particular design was featured in at least three different places: first inside the 1996 catalog that came inside the "Gear for the Journey" box set (listed as "MM19: Mouse Pad MYST Island" for $6.95) and then later inside the Gear for the Journey catalog that came bundled with Riven (listed as "Myst Island - MP01" for $7.95). (It also appeared on the ClickBoom website with the same promotional art as the 1996 catalog, but with no price or details.) However, both of these catalogs describe it as a fabric-topped mousepad with dimensions of 8.5"x7.5", while this particular artifact has a plastic top and different dimensions. Also, the previews in these catalogs have the Myst logo in a different spot. Furthermore, the Riven "Sunner Lagoon" Mousepad, which appears alongside this design in theGear for the Journey catalog, is a fabric-topped mousepad with different dimensions. Therefore, the source of this version is unknown.

The render featured on the mousepad is from an angle not accessible in-game, and features some graphical tweaks like improved leaves and a lens flare.
