This is a two-page magazine advertisement for Riven that appeared in Wired Magazine's September 1997 issue, spanning pages 10 and 11.

The setting of this advertisement has little to do with Riven. The web address www.riven.com is painted onto a wall on the right side. On the left is a discarded page, probably a callback to the discarded page on Myst Island. The text on the page probably reads "Gaza frequens libycum duxit Karthago triumphum" repeated several times.

The copyright notice is hidden in black text on a tree on the upper left. Unlike the advertisement from July 1997, this copyright notice mentions Red Orb.
